Autumn leaves but summer returns

This wonderful spell of late September weather makes it feel as though we're heading back into summer, rather than the normal direction towards chillier autumn and winter months. Those poor beleaguered swallows, our ‘dolphins of the skies’, having already gathered and flitted off in sunless despair will be kicking (OK , flapping) themselves at what they are now missing.  Perhaps we should swap titles for August and September next year , so that we, the swallows and our meteorologists end up less confused?

The beautiful weather might easily be considered responsible for the continued run on bottle orders we are presently experiencing. With our long experience in the packaging industry, however, we’ve learned that demand for our water bottles is increasingly less seasonal dependent.  Whilst there is inevitably some drop off around Xmas holidays, it is business as normal otherwise, as we grow year by year. The reasons why appear interesting.

Obviously, we like to think that it's due to the exceptional quality of our product and service. Well, we're good but without a doubt consumer perceptions of the value of a water bottle, ours included, has changed dramatically over the past decade. Partly that’s to do with understanding the value of good hydration at all times, not least among our schoolchildren as an aid to better concentration (and behaviour, mums please note!).  A healthier hydration too, as the health value of water over sugary drinks becomes increasingly topical in the fight against diabetes and obesity. This doesn't end at our schooldays either. Our water bottles at gymnasia, on the work desk, on our bikes, at fun runs etc is an increasingly familiar feature, as we strive to stay fitter and healthier, longer.  Even for our elderly and infirm, good hydration is at last getting valued recognition.

Plus of course there's the value to our environment of our reusable containers, counteracting the 'environmental madness' of single use retailed water bottles, a major contributor to UK litter, carbon emissions and landfill.

But some arguments will never quite fully convince unless allied to economic value too. Which is where the re-sale value of a well-made, custom-branded reusable water bottles clinches the deal for some. For schools in particular, every day is a 'bring your bottle to school day'. Such is their recognised value that customised water bottles are among schools most popular re-selling item to parents and at fetes etc, capable of doubling their value and adding valuable funds to school coffers.
